If you’re facing the overwhelming aftermath of a natural disaster—whether it’s the loss of your home, your business, or your church community—know that you don’t have to walk this road alone. The Sponsor Project is here to connect you with someone who cares deeply about helping you rebuild your life. Our goal is to empower people through partnerships that offer hope, stability, and a path to renewal. We believe in coming together as the body of Christ to lift up all those who are hurting, and we are committed to connecting you with a partner who can help meet your needs.
Every partner of The Sponsor Project is eager to make a real difference in the lives of people like you, offering both practical support and compassionate encouragement. When we connect you with a partner, it’s more than just a one-time gift or a donation—it’s the beginning of a relationship built on trust, care, and a shared desire to see you restored. Whether you’re in need of financial assistance, rebuilding supplies, or simply a friend to walk alongside you, our partners are here to show you the love of Christ in action.
We understand that the journey from devastation to recovery can be long and challenging. Rebuilding takes time, resources, and support. Our goal is to connect you with someone who will walk with you through each step, helping you regain a sense of stability and wholeness. You are not just a “case” to us—you are a valued part of your community, and we believe God has a plan to bring hope and healing into your life.
If you’re wondering how to begin this journey, start by reaching out to us. We’re here to listen to your story, to understand your needs, and to connect you with a partner who feels called to stand with you. The Sponsor Project is launching the sponsor project with you in mind, so you could experience the practical, powerful love of Jesus through others. Together, with the help of a caring partner, we believe you’ll find renewed strength, hope, and the resources you need to rebuild.
Let The Sponsor Project be the bridge that connects you to someone who wants to make a difference in your life. There is a community ready to support you, and we’re here to help make that connection possible.
What to expect
If you’re reaching out to The Sponsor Project, we want to ensure you know what to expect from the process. Our goal is to connect you with a partner who truly understands your needs and desires to support you. The process for recipients involves one simple, but vital step:
Tell Your Story and Share Your Need: We want to hear your story—to understand what you’ve been through and what you need to move forward.
You have three ways to share with us:
A. Write Out Your Story
If writing feels best, please be as specific as possible about your situation. If your home was destroyed, let us know if it was your primary residence or a secondary property. We place no limits on what our partners and sponsors can choose to help with, so providing detailed information will help them understand your situation clearly.
B. Film a YouTube Video
If you feel more at ease sharing your story through video, we’d love to hear from you this way. Record a personal video—no longer than five minutes—and provide us with the link. This can help convey your story and needs in a uniquely heartfelt way.
C. Answer a Questionnaire
Not everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves through a narrative, and that’s okay. Our questionnaire is here to guide you step-by-step. Filling it out ensures your need receives the same thoughtful attention as any other, even if you prefer not to write or film.
By sharing your story, you help our partners see the real person behind the need and understand exactly how they can support you.
A Word About Safety
At The Sponsor Project, building meaningful connections is at the heart of what we do. As you embark on your journey to form a relationship with a partner or recipient, it’s important to keep safety at the forefront. We encourage everyone to take general precautions to ensure a positive and secure experience.
First and foremost, never meet someone you’ve connected with online alone for your initial meetings. This approach helps lay a solid foundation for a meaningful relationship. Additionally, be careful with your personal information—never share private details such as bank account numbers or other sensitive financial data.
If at any point you feel uncomfortable—whether due to a request for private information, a meeting arrangement that feels unsafe, or conduct that seems off—please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We take these matters seriously and will work with you to sever any connection that doesn’t align with our commitment to safety, integrity, and trust. Our priority is to support and protect everyone involved, ensuring your experience is both safe and impactful.
WRITE YOUR STORY
If writing, please be specific about your situation—mention if your home was a primary or secondary residence, as detailed information helps our partners understand how best to support you.
FILM A VIDEO
If you'd prefer to share your story on video, please record up to five minutes and send us the link; it’s a great way to express your story and share your personal needs.
